SilverKite Community Arts®, LLC brings in-person intergenerational arts workshops to several communities throughout Washington. These FREE workshops are for all ages and are open to the public. The Watercolor Forest
November 17th

Invite the beauty of a forest to appear in this watercolor painting workshop. Learn how to paint mist, light and trees while also exploring your unique creative expression.

Visual Journaling: Gifts & Gratitude
November 19th

This workshop introduces visual journaling as a personal practice and invites participants to express themselves through words, doodles, collage and color. Using a variety of playful supplies, we will explore the prompts of gifts and gratitude and what those words mean to us in this season to guide the creative journey.

Together we will explore sustainable craft making by repurposing and re-envisioning an existing object through decoupage. Bring in something with a smooth finish that you own and no longer use or a SilverKite teaching artist will bring in a variety of objects to turn into something new for you to enjoy. Together we will use a variety of materials, including but not limited to: decorative paper, collage materials, acrylic paint, stickers, glitter and mod podge.

Creative Movement
December 10th

Invite expression through dance and movement while engaging creativity, imagination and connection. This playful workshop encourages connection through group movement. A SilverKite teaching artist will lead the group in a warm up then offer simple repetitive moves to follow along with. Then participants will create original group choreography, celebrating uniqueness and enjoying a variety of music. This workshop invites seated and standing options.
