SilverKite Community Arts®, LLC brings in-person intergenerational arts workshops to several communities throughout Washington. These FREE workshops are for all ages and are open to the public. Watercolor: Create a Wax Resist Painting
January 9th
10:30 - 11:30am

In this workshop we will learn the popular technique in watercolor painting called wax resist. Participants will draw a pattern or drawing in wax then paint over it to discover the resistant nature of the wax, leaving clean lines and shapes untouched from the watercolor. Each participant will leave with a unique work of art and understanding of the basics of how to create a wax resist of their own.

Kidstock: Line Dancing Across Genres
January 19th

Join us for a line dancing workshop at Kidstock 2026! This free, full-day arts celebration (9:30am - 3:30pm) is designed for families with children of all ages, and features a variety of live music performances, arts education workshops, and activities for kids.

Dementia-Inclusive Series

This series is made in partnership with the Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA).

 

This is a creative and social enrichment program for people with dementia, their care partners, families and friends. 

 

It is ECA’s hope that the Dementia-Inclusive Series will create opportunities for care partners to connect with elders in a low-pressure, supportive environment, and that arts experiences will both enrich daily routines and provide tangible physical and mental health benefits.

Collage: Goals, Dreams and What Matters Most

Through guided prompts, use the medium of collage to explore personal goals, dreams, and values.
Then translate those ideas creatively using images, words, textures and techniques such as cutting,
