Creative Writing: As a Tree

Often there's been a tree in our lives. It may've been a mango tree in your front yard, or an old tree hollow you made a fort out of. It might've been a giant redwood, or one that volunteered to grow in your gutter. In this workshop we'll explore our experiences with trees through writing. Participants will receive prompts which help recall sensory details of their special tree and the world they shared with it to create a short piece of reflective writing.

Women and female-identifying people across generations are invited to gather for thoughtful conversations about feminism, work, relationships, education, friendship, sexism, and more. Participants explore how different waves of feminism have shaped women's experiences, what has changed over time, and what challenges remain. Those new to these conversations or those who have lived through decades of social change share perspectives, learn from one another, and build connections. Participants can join solo or with a partner. This series is great for multigenerational pairs and groups.

Explore the creative practice of visual journaling in this hands-on workshop series that blends art, writing, and personal reflection. Participants will experiment with mixed media and reflective journaling, releasing thoughts onto the page while setting aside dedicated time each week to connect with goals, and fellow participants in and around a peaceful garden setting.
All materials will be provided to spark creativity while exploring journaling styles that support well-being. There are no rules or right answers—just an opportunity to create, reflect, and express in a welcoming environment. Each session includes an optional opportunity to share and connect through the stories the journal tells.

Engage in mindful movement, joyful dancing and the creation of an original piece of choreography in this 9 week committed series. Participants will explore the balance of freedom and form, repetitive therapeutic movement and engaging in collaborative choreography. The focus is on expressive dance, modified to be accessible for all participants. The final session includes a public performance of the work created.

Beading: Make an Intention Bracelet

In this workshop participants will be invited to design a meaningful bracelet representing a chosen personal quality such as strength, compassion or collaboration. We’ll play with color, shape and patterns from SilverKite’s extensive bead collection. Pliers, hardware, elastic thread and glue are provided to create a unique beaded bracelet to take home and wear or gift.

Mixed Media: Making Art in Response to Music

In this one-hour workshop, participants will explore music together through guided listening, conversation, and creative reflection. We will cultivate a welcoming space for the group to listen closely, respond personally, and discover how the same musical excerpts can open both similar and different pathways of thought and feeling for different people. Creative Writing: As a Tree

Often there's been a tree in our lives. It may've been a mango tree in your front yard, or an old tree hollow you made a fort out of. It might've been a giant redwood, or one that volunteered to grow in your gutter. In this workshop we'll explore our experiences with trees through writing. Participants will receive prompts which help recall sensory details of their special tree and the world they shared with it to create a short piece of reflective writing.
